Queen's Festival

Queen’s Festival is an Inca Big Button technology researched at the Kancha House. It delivers four Villagers to the Home City gather point in ten seconds. Its current cost is 250 Food, 250 Wood and 250 Coin, and it is available in the Commerce Age. The Industrial Age Old Ways Home City Card reduces that cost to 125 of each resource. The technology adds workers rather than improving the gathering rate of existing Villagers.

Effect & research conditions

Research it at a Kancha House when population space is available, then collect the four Villagers at the Home City gather point and assign them to safe gathering or construction. Because the purchase consumes all three resources, include its cost alongside military production and building plans. The Old Ways card reduces each resource cost by half, but requires the card and Industrial Age timing.

Research condition

Inca; Commerce Age*; researched at the Kancha House; costs 250 Food, 250 Wood and 250 Coin; 10-second research time; provides four Villagers.

When to research

Use Queen’s Festival when four additional workers can begin contributing soon and the Inca economy can afford the research window. It originally shifted between Exploration and Commerce Age availability, so current and older strategy references may place it at different timings. In the current profile it requires the Commerce Age; older Definitive Edition notes list Exploration Age between updates 3552 and 47581.

Age, price and Home City card changes

The current Commerce Age technology costs 250 Food, Wood and Coin. Before update 47581 it was available in the Exploration Age for 180 of each; earlier than update 14.43676 the cost was 300 of each. With the Industrial Age Old Ways Home City Card, the current cost is reduced to 125 of each. Across those versions both timing and price changed, so older build orders may describe an earlier and cheaper unlock.
