Rural Sentry Uprising
Rural Sentry Uprising is a Chinese Village technology that calls two Sentries to the researching settlement. The Village Defense Home City Card is a prerequisite. It creates a brief local defense option rather than a lasting unit upgrade.

Research effect
After sending Village Defense, research the technology at a Village in the Commerce Age for 50 Food and 50 Coin; it takes five seconds. The pair appears at that Village and uses two population. The option is visible at the player’s Villages, but the technology is a one-time research, so choose the site whose Sentries can respond fastest.

Cost and prerequisites
Use it to cover a nearby worker line, route or objective when two extra defenders can buy time for the main army to arrive. Sentries have 120 hit points, 5.0 speed and 12 line of sight; their hand attack deals 7 damage every 1.5 seconds and has a 4.0 multiplier against Cavalry. They lose health over time until one hit point unless the Chinese Boxer Rebellion card prevents that decay, so move them into action promptly and do not treat them as permanent garrison troops.
Choose the Village that needs the response
Rural Sentry Uprising places its two units at the Village where the five-second research completes. After sending Village Defense, compare the locations of the Villages and start the technology at the one closest to exposed workers or a contested route. Since it is researched once, this is a placement decision: a distant Village can leave the defenders too far from the danger, while a forward settlement can put them in immediate reach. Keep population room for both Sentries and bring the main force if the attack is larger than a small raid.
Sentries are temporary defenders
The Sentry profile records 120 hit points, 10% hand resistance, speed 5.0 and line of sight 12. Its hand attack deals 7 damage every 1.5 seconds, with a 4.0 multiplier against Cavalry and 2.25 against Shock troops; it also has a 6-damage siege attack at range 6. Sentries lose 1% of maximum hit points over time until only 1 remains, except for Chinese players with Boxer Rebellion. Use the pair promptly, protect them from concentrated fire and account for the decay when deciding whether to hold them back.
