Trading Post Travois; Tambo Travois
Trading Post Travois and Tambo Travois are mobile construction units for the Aztecs, Inca, Lakota and Maya. They build a Trading Post or, for the Inca, a Tambo for free at a destination.

Role, availability & values
The wagon has 250 hit points and moves at 4.0 speed. Its construction options depend on civilization: the Inca can use the Tambo, while other listed factions can establish a Trading Post. The finished structure provides its normal map or civilization function; the wagon itself does not create an alliance or route reward before construction.
Matchup & timing
Scout the map site and decide whether a Trade Route or Tambo supports the army and economy. Protect the wagon during travel, especially near contested Trading Posts. Defend the completed structure if it provides access or income that the opponent can capture.
Native construction and speed differences
The Trading Post Travois is available to the Aztecs, Inca, Lakota and Maya through Home City shipments, with the Inca version called a Tambo Travois. It has 250 hit points, 4.0 speed and 20% siege resistance in Definitive Edition, and builds at the ordinary construction rate. Earlier versions had only 150 hit points, so guides for the original WarChiefs release show a different value. The Aztec and Lakota versions establish a Trading Post; the Inca version constructs a Tambo, which can function at either a Trade Route or a Native settlement site. The completed building then provides the route or alliance benefits supported by that site. The Travois is consumed on placement and cannot create a benefit while travelling. Use it where a legal site is available and the free construction saves Wood for the army; escort it through contested territory and defend the post after delivery.
Earlier-version durability
The original WarChiefs version listed 150 hit points; Definitive Edition raised the wagon to 250. The difference matters when escorting it through a defended route, but the Travois remains a vulnerable construction delivery rather than a battle unit. Its line of sight is only six in the current profile, so it cannot scout a contested settlement reliably by itself. Use an Explorer or the main force to reveal the site before sending the wagon.
