Training Forms
Training Forms is an Exploration Age Chinese Monastery technology that grants Shaolin Masters the Monastic Sangha ability. It costs 100 Food and 100 Coin and takes 15 seconds to research. The effect is an ability unlock for the Shaolin Masters, not a general bonus to every Chinese unit or an automatic delivery of additional troops. Its practical value depends on having Shaolin Masters available and using the newly granted ability appropriately.

Effect & research conditions
Research Training Forms at the Monastery, then select a Shaolin Master to access Monastic Sangha. The research changes what the eligible unit can do; it does not itself activate the ability. Check the unit’s command interface and account for the ability’s stated behavior and any applicable restrictions before using it in a fight.
Research condition
Chinese; Exploration Age; researched at the Monastery; costs 100 Food and 100 Coin; 15-second research time; grants Shaolin Masters the Monastic Sangha ability.
When to research
Research it when Shaolin Masters are part of the plan and the unlocked ability has a role in the coming engagement or support task. If no eligible unit is fielded, the immediate return is limited. Its modest resource price still competes with other Exploration Age spending, so align the unlock with unit access.
Monastic Sangha supports nearby Disciples
Training Forms unlocks Monastic Sangha for Shaolin Masters. The ability raises the hit points and attack of nearby Disciples by 10% within radius 24, so its value depends on keeping the Master close to a Disciple group. The research grants access to the ability; it does not automatically apply the bonus to every Disciple on the map. Form the group before the engagement and check that the Master remains within the support area as the units move. If the Master is separated or the Disciples spread out, the formation loses the benefit where the aura no longer reaches.
Unlock it when the Chinese army can use the formation
This Exploration Age Chinese technology is researched at the Monastery for 100 Food and 100 Coin, taking 15 seconds. The investment is modest, but the benefit is specific to Shaolin Masters and Disciples. Research when those units are part of the army and can remain together; otherwise, the ability may not affect the next fight. Keep this unlock distinct from the Chinese Master’s other tools, which can depend on separate Home City Cards or Wonder choices. Check the ability on the eligible Master after research and plan the Disciple group around the stated radius.
