Two Guys with Deer

Two Guys with Deer is a novelty unit in Age of Empires III. It appears in the Summoned cinematic in Act II: Ice and can be present at the start of the Unknown random map. The unit combines two Jaegers and a Deer model; it is not an ordinary military formation produced from a standard building.

Role, availability & values

The profile lists 600 hit points, speed 4, line of sight 14, a 50-unit limit and 30 Experience per train. Its listed cost is 30 Food and 30 Wood, but normal matches encounter it through the special map or scenario setup. When it dies, it awards 30 Food and 30 Experience and creates a 100-Food crate.

Matchup & timing

On Unknown, account for the unit as a special map object and resource bounty rather than a core part of the army. In Act II: Ice it belongs to a cinematic moment, so do not assume the player can recruit it during the mission. If it is targetable in the active setup, consider the 100-Food crate and bounty when deciding whether to engage, while keeping ordinary unit production focused on the scenario’s actual objectives.

A scripted novelty with an unusual death reward

Two Guys with Deer is memorable because it joins two Jaegers with a Deer and pays out resources when defeated. Its death yields 30 Food and 30 Experience directly, then creates a separate crate worth 100 Food. That makes the object’s total resource value different from a conventional treasure guardian or huntable animal. Its scenario and Unknown-map availability are special cases, however; the listed cost and training Experience do not imply that a player can queue it from a normal military building.
