When to research
Research before a sustained Lakota queue of Cetan Bowmen or Club Warriors, which train 33% faster, or Wakina Rifles, which train 25% faster. The 10-second upgrade costs 400 Coin at the War Hut, so time it when the affected building will stay busy. It does not speed other Lakota units; spend the Coin elsewhere if those three lines are not part of the plan.
Shorter Lakota production times
War Drums is a Commerce Age Lakota technology at the War Hut. It costs 400 Coin and takes 10 seconds. It reduces Cetan Bowman and Club Warrior training time by 33%, and Wakina Rifle training time by 25%. It affects these queues, not their costs or other units.
Use the saved time in a production push
The upgrade is strongest when the War Hut will continue training the named units and reinforcements are needed quickly. Research before the queue is under pressure, then keep the building active and protected. If the army is shifting to another composition, the bonus may not repay its cost.
