Units

War Hut Travois

War Hut Travois is a mobile construction unit from The WarChiefs that establishes a War Hut at its destination. The wagon lets eligible Native American content place military infrastructure without paying the normal building cost, but it does not train units while moving and should not be sent into combat as a frontline unit.

Role, availability & values

The recorded profile has 500 hit points and 4.0 speed. When the wagon reaches a valid site, it is used to build the War Hut for free. Availability comes from specific shipment or scenario content and can vary by civilization; it should not be assumed to appear in every Native player’s standard production queue.

Matchup & timing

Send it to a protected location where the War Hut can reinforce the army or defend an approach. Scout before committing the wagon, since losing it on the way wastes the free construction opportunity. Once the building is placed, choose units according to the civilization’s own roster; Aztec, Haudenosaunee and Lakota War Huts do not share identical production.

Native delivery and Aztec age-up option

The War Hut Travois is a Home City wagon available to Native American content in The WarChiefs and builds a War Hut for free. It has 500 hit points, 4.0 speed and 20% siege resistance, and constructs the War Hut 2.5 times faster than an ordinary Villager. For the Aztecs, selecting The Elder on the Tribal Council to reach the Commerce Age provides one Travois; other civilizations can access it through their own cards or team shipments. The wagon is consumed by construction and does not produce units while travelling. War Huts differ by civilization, so the free building does not imply a shared roster. Scout the destination first, then use the Hut to shorten reinforcement distance or protect a forward position. The free cost can save Wood for units, but losing the wagon before placement also loses the one-time infrastructure reward.

Using the free Hut for forward production

Because the Travois builds at 2.5 times a Villager’s rate, it can establish a forward War Hut quickly once it reaches a legal site. This reduces the time before the civilization can begin producing from the new position, but the hut’s own units still cost their normal resources and require population. The wagon’s value is therefore saved construction time and Wood, not a free army. Keep enough resources available to queue the units the Hut is meant to supply.
