When to research
Research before a sustained engagement when several affected units form the army. The 5% bonus scales across repeated attacks, but it does not improve health, resistance or siege damage for units outside the listed classes. If only a small portion of the army qualifies, spend the resources on a more targeted upgrade or additional production.
Apply the bonus across a combined force
Yoga can improve mixed armies because it covers Infantry, Cavalry and Shock Troops. The exact benefit still depends on the unit classifications and the damage they can deal after reaching the fight. Keep the force protected from its counters and use the extra attack to shorten engagements rather than exposing units unnecessarily.
