Role & availability
Both teams can purchase the Dual Berettas from the Pistols category. They occupy the sidearm slot and may be selected when players want a pair of pistols instead of a single handgun. The purchase should be weighed against armor and utility, especially during a reduced buy.
A dropped pair can be recovered by either side. A player may also retain the weapon after surviving a round. Because the sidearm fires with either pistol, its ammunition and reload state should be checked before taking another engagement.
Paired firing
The two pistols fire alternately as the player presses the attack action. Their combined magazine supports many shots, but rapid firing can make aim less controlled. Use measured taps or short sequences when accuracy matters, and avoid treating the large ammunition supply as a reason to fire without a target.
At close range, the fast follow-up shots can pressure an opponent. As distance increases, controlling placement becomes harder, and movement further reduces accuracy. Take cover to reload because the weapon leaves the player unable to fire during the reload animation.
When it fits a round
The Dual Berettas suit a player who wants a high-capacity sidearm for a close engagement or a round with a pistol purchase. They can be used as a backup after switching from a primary, but their handling differs from a single precise pistol. Position with teammates and avoid taking a long sightline against a rifle without support.
Compare them with the P250, Tec-9 and Five-SeveN. A Flashbang can help create a close-range opportunity, while Kevlar Vest competes for the same limited round budget. The Buy Menu explains where pistol purchases fit.
CS2 applicability
This entry describes the Dual Berettas in Counter-Strike 2. It does not import older versions’ firing or balance figures. Exact current price, ammunition and damage require a dated source audit.
Weapon appearance update (June 15, 2023)
The June 15, 2023 Limited Test notes listed visual improvements to the Dual Berettas. They do not describe the exact model change or any effect on ammunition, fire rate or handling.
First-person and spectator animation fixes (April 24, 2026)
The update fixed bugs affecting the Dual Berettas in first person and spectator mode. The note does not name the animation or describe the defect, so it records the two affected presentation contexts without attributing a specific firing, reload or inspect change.
