Role & purchase
The Five-SeveN is available to Counter-Terrorists from the Pistols category. It uses a primary purchase decision within a sidearm slot and competes with armor and grenades for money. A player can buy it during a reduced round or as a sidearm preference, depending on the team’s plan.
The Five-SeveN can be recovered by either team after it is dropped. A recovered pistol may be useful if the player’s current sidearm is less suited to the situation. The normal Counter-Terrorist purchase restriction does not prevent the Terrorists from using a dropped weapon.
Fire & ammunition
The Five-SeveN is semi-automatic. Each trigger pull fires a shot, and the player should balance speed with aim rather than emptying the magazine without controlling placement. Its magazine capacity supports multiple attempts, but ammunition is still finite and reloading creates a vulnerable pause.
Accuracy depends on distance and movement. Stop before taking a careful shot and use cover when reloading. As a pistol, it provides mobility and backup capability but not the sustained accuracy and damage pattern of a primary rifle.
When it fits a round
A player may choose the Five-SeveN when the team’s funds allow a pistol purchase but not a full rifle setup, or when the player wants a sidearm with a larger ammunition supply. The choice should be balanced with armor and utility. A pistol purchase that leaves the team without protection can change the next engagement substantially.
Compare the Five-SeveN with the Counter-Terrorist P2000 and USP-S, the Terrorist Tec-9 and shared P250. Economy and Buy Menu describe spending decisions, while Kevlar + Helmet explains protection.
CS2 applicability
This page describes the Five-SeveN as a Counter-Terrorist sidearm in CS2. It does not apply older titles’ balance values to the current weapon. Exact price, magazine and damage values remain pending a dated source audit.
