Dual Crossbows

Dual Crossbows are exactly what the name promises: a pair of light crossbows, one for each hand, for heroes who believe one bolt at a time is not enough. They bring the crossbow family's fast projectiles to a two-fisted fighting style that feels aggressive and constant.

Stats and mechanics

As light weapons with the Trickster + Mage archetype, Dual Crossbows keep fire and movement fluid, letting heroes strafe and reposition while keeping bolts in the air. They sit in C tier for calculated DPS. Crossbow bolts travel faster than arrows, which helps at mid-range where leading targets matters. Like all ranged weapons in Dungeons II, the quiver is bottomless — bolts regenerate on their own, so there is no downtime. Enchantments decide the build direction: damage boosts for a straightforward gunner, or on-hit effects to turn the steady stream of bolts into crowd control.

How to get it

Dual Crossbows drop in The Deep Dark, Rainy Plains and Lullaby Hills. Check vendors between missions for well-rolled copies as item power climbs.

Builds and playstyles

Dual Crossbows suit run-and-gun heroes who stay mobile and keep constant pressure on targets. They pair well with enchanting setups that trigger on frequent hits. Heroes who love the paired-crossbow fantasy but want a unique twist should hunt down Double Crossers, which reward rolling with stacking damage — any Dual Crossbows drop can roll as that unique pair. For a single, harder-hitting bolt, the Crossbow is the baseline; for more speed, the Rapid Crossbow; for projectile trickery, the Harp Crossbow.
