Rapid Crossbow

The Rapid Crossbow is the speed demon of the crossbow family in Minecraft Dungeons II: a light, quick-cycling bolt shooter for the hair-trigger hunter who loves firing rapid bursts. When one bolt is not enough and two are barely adequate, this is the crossbow.
Stats and mechanics
Its defining trait is fire rate — the Rapid Crossbow cycles shots faster than any other crossbow in the standard lineup, laying down a constant stream of fast-flying bolts. Its Ranger + Trickster archetype and light weight keep it nimble, and it sits in C tier for calculated DPS. Individual bolts hit lighter than the Heavy Crossbow's, but the sheer output more than compensates against crowds and bosses alike. Bolts are unlimited and regenerate on their own, so the trigger never has to lift. Enchantments that trigger on hits are the standout pairing: more bolts per second means more chances for every on-hit effect to fire.
How to get it
The Rapid Crossbow drops in Frozen Highlands, Howling Woods and Ravines. Keep vendors in your rotation and watch for high-power copies in later missions — and remember that any Rapid Crossbow drop can roll as its unique variant, The Cross Pollinator.
Builds and playstyles
The Rapid Crossbow is built for aggressive gunners who hold the trigger and let enchantments do the talking. It works beautifully with enchanting setups built around on-hit triggers. Heroes who want even more projectiles should hunt the unique Harp Crossbow or the rare Scatter Crossbow, while The Cross Pollinator offers a unique 40% faster shot cycle. The plain Crossbow remains the balanced baseline.
