CAMPAIGN · LORDS OF THE WEST
Bohemond in the East
After the capture of Antioch, defend its remaining fortifications against Kerbogha’s siege. Once Alexios arrives, either survive until Kerbogha withdraws or take the fight to his army; Relics provide gold because the mission has no Villagers.

Overview
After the capture of Antioch, defend its remaining fortifications against Kerbogha’s siege. Once Alexios arrives, either survive until Kerbogha withdraws or take the fight to his army; Relics provide gold because the mission has no Villagers.
Player approach
Bohemond in the East is won by keeping at least one Castle standing through a one-hour defense. The western inner Castle is the most manageable stronghold; fortify other gates to keep pressure away from it.
Step-by-step plan
Assign most Villagers to stone and build protective Castles near the eastern gates, where attacks are strongest. Put a Castle on each of the two western gate approaches and keep the western inner Castle as the protected fallback. Research useful Castle defenses, garrison against heavy attacks, and use the Sicilian building speed to replace a lost outer position quickly.
Risks and adjustments
Do not let the inner Castle fall while defending the city perimeter. The eastern gates draw the heaviest assaults, so keep stone income and a builder reserve available for repairs and replacement defenses.
