Scenario details
Follow the English king through conflict with Wales, Scotland, and France. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. Vain Ambition — Escape from a rebel-held city with Edward and Gilbert, then regroup at Worcester before the baronial forces mobilize. Reaching the inn triggers the mounted escape; once settled, use the safe period to build an army and choose three opponents to overcome 2. A Man of God — Hold two distant coastal cities against sustained Mamluk pressure. Protect the Castles that anchor each defense, use the Crusader Orders as a mobile reserve, and exploit the optional alliance and enemy camps to relieve pressure 3. Of Castles and Kings — A mobile defense across Wales unfolds in three stages: race to each construction site, protect the builders, then establish your own base from the completed fortresses. Once the castles are safe, either break the Welsh Army or strike directly at both princes 4. Toom Tabard — Develop a compact English foothold while under repeated pressure from Berwick, then seize the fortified town before the Scottish army advances. Control the river crossing and capture the Stone of Scone for a major optional blow to Scottish morale 5. Hammer of the Scots — Begin with a limited army defending engineers outside Stirling, then use the Warwolf trebuchet to break the siege front. Capture Stirling to gain English forces and resources, and prepare for Robert the Bruce’s betrayal; eliminating Wallace can remove one enemy army early Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
