CAMPAIGN · THE AGE OF KINGS
Henry the Lion
Fight Poland with a fixed army while Bavaria and Saxony provide resources. Once the Polish threat is broken, Henry turns against Barbarossa.

Overview
Fight Poland with a fixed army while Bavaria and Saxony provide resources. Once the Polish threat is broken, Henry turns against Barbarossa.
Player approach
Henry the Lion faces early Polish naval pressure. Defeat or contain that fleet first, then decide whether to preserve Polish Docks for trade or destroy them to remove the threat.
Step-by-step plan
Build Fire Ships early and guard the shoreline against the Polish navy. Once Polish ship production stops, use Trade Cogs at their Docks if the route is safe and the income supports your economy. If the early fleet can reach the Docks without unacceptable losses, remove the production source before expanding the land front. Keep the ground army ready to defend both your settlement and Henry’s position.
Risks and adjustments
A premature Trade Cog investment gives the active enemy navy easy targets. Choose between trade and Dock destruction deliberately, since destroying the Docks removes the safer long-term gold route.
