Overview

Knight: Knights are a powerful Castle Age frontline that can defeat many infantry and foot archer forces while threatening siege and exposed economy. Their impact is greatest when they arrive in a group before the opponent has completed its counters.

Plan and execution

Save for the Castle Age arrival and Stable production, then move the first group toward an exposed resource or use it to protect a ranged army. Add units only while the economy can support upgrades and a safe follow-up. Keep the group mobile enough to raid rather than fighting under static defenses.

Risks and adaptation

Monks, Camel Riders, Pikemen, and overwhelming ranged fire can stop the line. Do not keep feeding Knights into a prepared counter or spend the whole economy on cavalry when the opponent can wall the map.
