Overview

Magyar Huszar: Magyar Huszars move quickly and carry an attack bonus against siege, making them a useful patrol unit against Mangonels, Scorpions, and other exposed artillery. They also complement a Cavalry Archer force by removing threats that can disrupt its firing line.

Plan and execution

Keep a group near the ranged army and wait until enemy siege is separated from its escort. Flank the artillery, destroy it quickly, then retreat before the anti-cavalry screen can trap the Huszars. Use their speed to shift between threatened sides.

Risks and adaptation

They are Castle-produced and cannot be massed as easily as units from several Stables. Spearmen and other anti-cavalry units can punish a direct charge; avoid diving siege that remains fully screened.
