Overview

Quetzalcoatl begins with an unfinished wall and several narrow routes between the player, Tlaxcala, and the Spanish. Use towers and a Castle to protect the southern approaches, then advance north against the weaker priority target.

Plan and execution

Spend the starting stone on Watch Towers at the narrow mountain passes and a Castle south of the base rather than completing the wall around the Town Center. This protects nearby mines and lets the economy grow. Avoid the central passages blocked by terrain and Spanish Cannon Galleons; hold the south while pushing through the northern route toward Tlaxcala. Secure the mining areas by the lake and along the northern path before the final attack.

Risks and adaptation

The Spanish and Tlaxcalans can send siege through different passes, so keep the southern Castle defended while the main army advances north. Do not leave the mines exposed after moving the army away.
