GUIDE · BATTLE STRATEGY
Temujin trigger-managed campaign plan
Temujin rewards deliberate trigger timing: the early rivals do not produce troops until key events are activated. Clear nearby forces and gather Horses before rescuing Temujin’s wife, since that rescue enables building and enemy production.

Overview
Temujin rewards deliberate trigger timing: the early rivals do not produce troops until key events are activated. Clear nearby forces and gather Horses before rescuing Temujin’s wife, since that rescue enables building and enemy production.
Plan and execution
Use Temujin and Jamukha as a mobile pair to remove isolated Merkit patrols, pausing to heal rather than taking several camps at once. Visit Ong Khan early to obtain Horses, then return them to the campfire to train Mangudai. Collect the extra Horses that appear when diplomacy is briefly toggled as described by the scenario, but preserve the finite herd for essential production. Clear the surrounding camps and secure the route to Kereyid before triggering the rescue; afterward, establish production and assign the new army to the next activated objective.
Risks and adaptation
Both heroes return if defeated, but their low health on return can leave the force vulnerable. Do not activate several factions or objectives together: each can start new production and turn a quiet map into multiple fronts. Check for remaining Yurts and Tents when a faction appears defeated, since its buildings may keep the objective incomplete.
