The Great Siege (HD Edition) moves through several linked tasks: protect a Barracks, escort Trade Carts, counterattack Norman positions, secure a Trebuchet, then win a naval engagement. Preserve the army for each transition.

The Great Siege (HD Edition) moves through several linked tasks: protect a Barracks, escort Trade Carts, counterattack Norman positions, secure a Trebuchet, then win a naval engagement. Preserve the army for each transition.
Plan and execution
Keep Andreas behind the safer part of the force as you approach the western Barracks, and use infantry to hold the position while mobile units deal with enemy ranged troops and siege. Return the Trade Carts to Bari, heal at a Monastery, then attack Norman groups one at a time and use hills to support Crossbowmen. During the tower objective, split defenders from the Trebuchet escort without leaving Pateranos exposed; finish by using ships to clear the Norman Docks.
Risks and adaptation
The route is designed to punish sending the hero or siege ahead without support. Avoid fighting several Norman groups at once, protect Cranos during the Trade Cog repair, and keep a screen with the Trebuchet until the tower falls.
