The Siege of Vilnius night-cycle defense plan
The Siege of Vilnius alternates short preparation windows with major attacks through the northwestern gate. Build an economy quickly, use the first assault to weaken the enemy, and spend each lull rebuilding for the next push.

Overview
The Siege of Vilnius alternates short preparation windows with major attacks through the northwestern gate. Build an economy quickly, use the first assault to weaken the enemy, and spend each lull rebuilding for the next push.
Plan and execution
Follow the road and clear enemy units and Trebuchets while leaving capturable buildings intact. Once Vilnius transfers to your control, use the preparation window to start a three-Town-Center economy and queue a mixed response of Obuchs, Crossbowmen, and Knights. Fortify the northwestern gate and garrison the first Castle to make the attackers pay for breaking through, even if holding it is unlikely. During the relief period, repair the next defense, advance to Imperial Age, and build a larger force of Cavaliers, Arbalesters, and Obuchs. Before the next assault, use the army to pressure the Raiders and eliminate their production or supply units where possible.
Risks and adaptation
The first Castle may fall, especially on Hard, so do not lose the whole army trying to save it. Orange can raid outside the scheduled attack window, and the supply cart can change the enemy’s strength. Keep a mobile reserve behind the gate and use the lull to replace units instead of chasing survivors far from the city.
