Overview

Tsar of the Bulgars begins with scarce resources and a dangerous numbers disadvantage. Convert the Tatars and Cumans by defeating their Khans before committing to the main fortress, while preserving one unit for the no-loss travel reward.

Plan and execution

Send one Light Cavalry alone to the western Transport Ship and reach Drastar without losing a unit if pursuing the optional reward. Meanwhile, use the rest of the force to eliminate the dispersed Tatar and Cuman Khans; changing their allegiance gives the Bulgarian base room to develop. Once the base is secure, advance to Imperial Age, research cavalry attack and armor, and add units before pushing toward Nogai’s Tent.

Risks and adaptation

A direct rush on Nogai’s Tent is likely to fail against the defenses, while a static defense cannot outlast the dwindling resources. Keep the Khan-hunting groups small and coordinated, and do not risk the Light Cavalry carrying the optional objective.
