Arabia
Arabia is a Definitive Edition map introduced in update 13.690. Its exposed circular Trade Route crosses sparsely resourced ground; scattered cliffs do not form dependable defensive walls, and the map has no Native settlements.

Map character
Scout for a safe second Food or Coin source while the Explorer locates the route and its approach lanes. Desert Archer and Desert Warrior are the listed outlaw options, and treasures can reward an early detour. Without a Native alliance, plan roster gaps through the civilization’s own production, Home City cards or other available systems.
What to scout
Contest a route segment only when the army can reinforce it without stretching the starting economy too far. The open circle makes raids and recaptures possible from several directions, so maintain mobile coverage and protect workers moving toward new resources. Add defenses to secure a real expansion rather than trying to wall the whole route.
Map control, treasures and opening priorities
Arabia is a Definitive Edition map introduced with update 13.690. Its circular Trade Route crosses exposed ground, while nearby starting resources are sparse and the scattered cliffs do not form dependable defensive chokepoints. This combination rewards early scouting and deliberate expansion: identify a safe second Food or Coin source, locate a route segment worth claiming, and decide which side of the circle can be held without stretching the army too thin. Arabia has no Native Settlements, so players cannot rely on a Native alliance to fill a roster gap; its listed Outlaws are the Desert Archer and Desert Warrior. Treasure opportunities include rewards associated with both Asian and African map pools, making the Explorer useful even after the first resource scan. The map’s African Royals filter grouping reflects its game-map classification and does not change the Arabian setting. Use mobile forces to contest the route, then add defenses only where they protect a real expansion or resource cluster.
