Blockhouse Wagon (shipment)

Blockhouse Wagon is a Chinese Consulate technology associated with the Russian Allies option. It sends a wagon that can establish a Blockhouse and unlocks Villager construction of Blockhouses. The wagon and the construction permission are separate parts of the reward: even after the first structure is lost, the new construction access lets the player replace it, subject to the build limit.

Chinese Consulate technology

In the recorded rules, research takes 5 seconds and costs 250 Export. The technology is listed at the Exploration Age, with an asterisk in the source game data; check the in-game Consulate tooltip for the applicable match version. The delivered wagon can be unpacked as a Blockhouse, while Villagers can construct additional Blockhouses once the technology has been researched. The normal limit is one; the Extensive Fortifications shipment raises it to two. The saved roster also records an Act III: India-only appearance, so the Chinese Consulate route should not be assumed for that campaign case.

Blockhouse construction access

For China, consider this when an early forward defense or a protected position near a contested route would change the map, and when the Russian Allies choice fits the rest of the plan. A Blockhouse is a fixed position, so scout the site and keep it within support distance before committing the wagon. The technology is more useful when its construction permission can be exploited than when the first structure would be isolated. In Act III: India, follow the scenario rules for the recorded Indian option.

Use the wagon and construction unlock together

The Blockhouse Wagon has 250 hit points, speed 4.0, line of sight 18 and 20% siege resistance, and it constructs a Blockhouse at three times the ordinary rate. The Consulate technology also lets Villagers build Blockhouses, so the value extends beyond the first wagon: it creates a forward position and gives the Chinese player a way to replace or add eligible structures later, within the build limit. Place the first one where it covers a route or resource area the army can hold. Extensive Fortifications changes the normal limit, so check that shipment before planning a multi-Blockhouse network.
