Act III: India
Act III: India is the five-scenario India campaign in The Asian Dynasties, set during the 1857 Sepoy Rebellion. Nanib Sahir begins as a Company officer in the Punjab and ends the story leading Indian resistance against Colonel Edwardson.

Setting & story
The linked sequence is Into the Punjab, Fires of Calcutta, Resist!, Raid in Delhi and Company Confrontation. Its objectives evolve from establishing posts and protecting a Company position to fighting through Meerut, triggering an elephant stampede to free the Shah, and attacking the Company’s final command post. The missions use Indian units, but each defines its own starting force and access to economic buildings.
Campaign structure
Treat the mission briefing as the build order: the first scenarios ask for settlement and defense, while the later ones emphasize movement, escort and targeted destruction. Protect named characters and mission-critical structures, and use the mission pages for the exact optional objectives.
Campaign arc and mission structure
Act III: India is the Indian chapter of The Asian Dynasties campaign. It follows the Black family story into the Indian theater, where the campaign’s missions use scripted forces and objectives that differ from ordinary Indian skirmish play. Treat each scenario as a linked chapter: the mission setup determines which units, resources and allies are available, while the campaign storyline supplies the larger context. Begin each mission by reading the objective panel and identifying required targets, locations or timed tasks before spending the starting force. Some scenarios reward exploration or optional objectives, but those goals should not endanger the primary mission condition. The Indian technology tree and Wonder choices are useful background, yet a campaign mission may alter access and include unique units or restrictions. Use the individual mission pages for exact walkthroughs, starting conditions and victory requirements. Campaign progression is linear, so completing the active scenario unlocks the next part of the arc. Keep heroes and named units alive when a mission depends on them, and protect the economy or scripted base long enough to carry out the stated objective. The campaign is part of The Asian Dynasties content and remains available in Definitive Edition.
Mission-by-mission planning
The campaign chapter contains several scenarios with their own starting conditions, so resource totals and available units should be checked at the beginning of each mission. Do not carry assumptions from a previous chapter into the next one. Identify the main win condition first, then note any timed or optional tasks that can be completed safely. The Indian Wonder and unit entries explain standard civilization mechanics, while the mission pages cover scripted changes. In combat, use the supplied force efficiently and avoid losing named heroes when later objectives may depend on them. Where a scenario provides allies or a forward base, protect that position until the objective tracker confirms it is no longer needed. This approach keeps the campaign narrative clear and prevents optional exploration from delaying a required assault or defense.
Chapter continuity
A campaign chapter is completed by satisfying its active scenario rather than by mastering every standard civilization mechanic. Keep mission objectives visible and follow the next scenario link for the next scripted setup.
From Company control to the Delhi revolt
Act III: India is the final act of The Asian Dynasties campaign and follows the conflict between the East India Company and Indian resistance. Fires of Calcutta introduces repeated attacks on a Company Command Post; Resist! moves the fight into Meerut at the beginning of the Sepoy Rebellion; Raid in Delhi focuses on freeing and escorting the Shah; Company Confrontation closes the act with a broad assault on Company infrastructure. The missions use scripted armies and objectives, so their units and resource access can differ from standard Indian matches. The story shifts from defending a Company position to liberating Delhi and striking the Company’s final command. Consult each scenario entry for exact objectives and optional rewards.
