Boneguard
Boneguard is Circle of Ossus Heavy Infantry associated with the campaign and scenario forces of Age of Empires III. Its large health pool and three attack modes make it a durable scripted-faction soldier, not a normal unit of a selectable European civilization.

Role, availability & values
The profile costs 100 Food and 75 Coin, takes 30 seconds to train and uses one population. It has 500 hit points, 10% hand resistance, 4.5 speed and 16 line of sight. It deals 8 hand damage every 3 seconds, 15 ranged damage at range 10 every 3 seconds, and 13 siege damage at range 6 every 3 seconds. Although availability is listed at a Commerce Age European Barracks and Fort, the campaign faction and scenario determine whether those production options are present.
Matchup & timing
Use Boneguards as a durable frontline in missions that provide them, allowing faster ranged units or artillery to work behind their protection. Their health helps them hold space, while modest speed makes them less suited to chasing a retreating army. Check the mission roster and upgrade rules before comparing them with ordinary European Heavy Infantry; scenario-specific access can matter as much as the base profile.
Campaign rules shape the matchup
The three attack modes let Boneguards respond at range, in melee and against structures, but each attack has a slower interval than many standard infantry profiles. Their 500 hit points are therefore the clearest reason to put them at the front of a campaign force. Do not assume every card or civilization upgrade applies: the Circle of Ossus roster belongs to the campaign context. Support their slow advance and use the mission objective to decide whether to engage, defend a route or escort another unit.
