Cash Crops
Cash Crops is an Industrial Age African Granary technology that requires New World Crops. It increases Villager Coin gathering from Fields by 30%, supporting a field-based Coin economy rather than improving mines or every African resource source.

Effect & research conditions
Research costs 1,000 Wood and takes 30 seconds. At the Granary, Cash Crops becomes available after New World Crops. The 30% gathering bonus applies to Villagers collecting Coin from Fields. The current Wood cost is 1,000; it was 1,200 before update 14.43676.
Research condition
Available to Africans from the Industrial Age. Research it at Granary. It requires New World Crops.
When to research
Research after Coin Fields are active and enough Villagers can keep working them. The large Wood cost is worthwhile only if those fields will remain available long enough to repay it. If most Coin comes from mines, or workers must leave the fields, spend the Wood on military production instead.
Coin Fields, not mines
Cash Crops increases Villager gathering from Fields assigned to Coin by 30%. It does not increase mining or Coin collection from unrelated buildings. The prerequisite New World Crops also belongs to the African Field economy, so both technologies reward a plan that has already committed workers and land to Fields.
Current cost and earlier balance
Research at the Granary in the Industrial Age after New World Crops. The current cost is 1,000 Wood for 30 seconds of research; before update 14.43676 it cost 1,200 Wood. Use the current value when budgeting, and treat the older figure as a historical version difference.
