Function & construction
The selected completion reward supplies the listed infantry line, and Flying Crow production provides ongoing artillery without using an ordinary War Academy queue. This combination differs from a normal production building: the immediate reward and the later siege reinforcements arrive on separate timings.
Placement & timing
Choose it when the infantry reward fits the opponent and the army can protect the Academy’s artillery production. Escort Flying Crows against units that can close on siege, and consider whether a different Wonder would better support the economy or immediate defense. The structure’s value grows when the match lasts long enough to use its continuing production.
Choose the completion reward and protect later Crows
The Chinese Wonder supplies either Chu Ko Nu or Arquebusiers as its immediate completion reward, then trains Flying Crows automatically over time. This creates two reinforcement timings: the selected infantry arrives first, while the siege continues afterward. Protect the Wonder so it can advance the civilization and complete its ongoing artillery production.
Pick the infantry reward for the immediate threat
Chu Ko Nu or Arquebusiers arrive when the Wonder completes, so select the force that best answers the nearby opponent. Flying Crows arrive over time afterward, making the Academy a continuing siege source. Keep population available for the initial reward and protect the Wonder during construction and production.
Chinese Wonder reward and Flying Crow output
The Confucian Academy is a Chinese Wonder that advances the player into the next Age, ships Chu Ko Nu or Arquebusiers upon completion and automatically trains Flying Crows over time. The immediate infantry reward and later artillery production arrive on separate timings, so account for both when planning population and escorts. This is not a standard War Academy queue; the Academy’s ongoing Flying Crow rule operates automatically. Its 5,000 hit points and 5-by-6 footprint make placement a major part of the age-up plan.
Protect the artillery production
Choose the Academy when its infantry reward fits the opponent and the army can defend the resulting siege output. Flying Crows are slow, high-population units, so keep a screen ready before they arrive and avoid blocking their firing lane with friendly troops. The Wonder’s construction cost and time compete with ordinary production; preserve enough resources for units after the Age advance. Another Chinese Wonder may better support the economy or immediate defense. Protect the Academy so its ongoing artillery output can repay the investment over the match.
