Effect & research conditions

The technology costs 125 Wood and 125 Coin and takes 60 seconds to research. Its benefit applies to Native warriors and Cree Coureur des Bois, not all units produced by the player. Because research is much longer than the listed unit classes’ queue reductions, start it while the settlement is safe and production can continue afterward.

Research condition

Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Cree settlement.

When to research

Research before maintaining an active queue of the affected units. The benefit is strongest when several units or replacements are planned; idle production does not repay the wait. Protect the Cree settlement and its post during the minute of research, and keep enough Food or other required resources to use the faster production once it finishes.

Prepare the production queue for the speed increase

Cree Kinship is a production accelerator, not a direct resource shipment. Its 45% reduction makes the affected units arrive sooner, but the player still needs the resources, population and building or settlement access to train them. Start the research before a planned reinforcement window, then keep production active when it completes. This can help replenish Cree Coureur des Bois and Native warriors after losses, but it does not accelerate unrelated units. The long research time makes a secure site especially important.
