Tracker combines ranged pressure and scouting utility
The Cree Tracker is Commerce Age ranged infantry with 260 hit points, 10% ranged resistance and 4.5 speed. It costs 40 Food and 80 Wood and trains in 20 seconds. Its ranged attack deals 13 damage at range 16; the charged Eagle Eye attack reaches range 25 with an area of effect of 2, requires the 1st Michigan Volunteer Sharpshooters card and recharges over time. The unit also receives bonuses against Light ranged cavalry, Ranged shock troops and Heavy infantry, while its damage is reduced against Cavalry and Shock troops.
Coureur des Bois and technology discounts
Cree Coureur des Bois costs 120 Food, takes 29 seconds and has 180 hit points with 40% ranged resistance. It gathers resources, builds structures and claims Treasures, so its stronger survivability and worker functions make it an economic unit rather than a replacement for the Tracker’s ranged role. Cree Kinship reduces training time for Native warriors and Cree Coureur des Bois by 45%, costing 125 Wood and 125 Coin with a 60-second research. Cree Tanning adds 5% hit points to Infantry, Cavalry and Shock Troops. Cree Textile Craftsmanship reduces Building and construction-wagon costs by 10% and shortens non-Wonder building construction time by 25%.
Use the alliance for both economy and defense
The Cree settlement Trading Post or Inca Tambo opens the technologies and native production; the Native Embassy also trains Cree Trackers. Kinship is most useful when both military and Cree Coureur des Bois production will continue, while Textile Craftsmanship pays off through repeated construction. Protect the settlement so those longer-term effects remain accessible.
