Effect & research conditions
Research costs 75 Wood and 75 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The bonus applies to Fishing Ships gathering from fish and whale resources, not to Villagers or every water activity. The Huron settlement post is required, and the player needs a functioning fishing fleet to realize the economic return.
Research condition
Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Huron settlement.
When to research
Research when Fishing Ships can work safely for a sustained period. A 15% gathering increase is useful across several boats, but an exposed fleet may be driven away before the upgrade repays itself. Scout the coastline, protect the Dock and fishing area, and delay the research if the opponent already controls the water.
A water-economy upgrade tied to the Huron site
Huron Fish Wedding improves the output of boats already gathering from fish or whales. It does not create new fish, increase a school’s total Food or make a Fishing Ship safer. The short research time and modest cost make it attractive when the fleet is established, but the settlement and water access both need protection. Use the upgrade on a map where the available fish and whales can support repeated collection.
