Guardian profile & version

The guardian has 85 hit points, speed 7 and a 12-damage hand attack. Its fast movement lets it close on the Hero inside the Treasure area. Other guardians may attack at the same time, so inspect the full group and the Explorer’s health before starting the fight.

Safe Treasure clearing

Defeat Mad Dog before claiming the Treasure. Use nearby support or a Hero ability if the Explorer is already injured, and avoid leaving the Hero beside an uncleared reward. Once the site is safe, collect the Treasure and continue scouting rather than treating the guardian as an army unit.

Practical direction

Keep the fight close enough to friendly units to support a retreat. Avoid dragging Mad Dog far away from its post, where it may recover before the reward is cleared. Its one-second attack interval makes repeated contact costly, so focus it and nearby guardians instead of leaving the Explorer exposed while other units arrive.

Clear the full Treasure group first

Mad Dog’s speed and hand damage can pressure a Hero quickly, especially if another guardian joins the encounter. Approach with enough health to absorb several attacks, then focus the dog and nearby guards before interacting with the reward. Its 85 hit points make it less durable than many military units, but the danger comes from the guardian group and the isolated position of a Treasure hunt. Keep a retreat path open if the Explorer must disengage.
