Role, availability & values

Settlers hunt the Moose carcass, and up to eight gatherers can work it. The animal has 30 hit points, speed 2 and line of sight 18. Its Food is a finite map resource; once the herd is depleted, workers must move to another Hunt or renewable source. Wildlife placement varies by map and match setup, so scout the actual herd rather than relying on a fixed starting position.

Matchup & timing

Use a nearby Moose herd to support early Villager and military production, then plan a transition before the Food runs out. Distant herds expose gatherers to raids, so reveal the route and keep the army close enough to respond. Herd the animal toward a safer position when the map permits, and avoid sending more workers than the herd can use while leaving other resource lines empty.

Finite Food and worker allocation

The Moose’s 500 Food value makes a flock an important local resource, but it is not renewable. Assign enough Settlers to maintain production without abandoning Wood or Coin, and monitor the remaining carcass so workers do not travel to an empty site. Up to eight gatherers can work a single animal; splitting workers across several nearby Moose can keep the collection line moving. The North American map locations listed for the unit are useful scouting clues, not a guarantee that every generated match places the same number of animals in the same location.
