Effect & research conditions

The technology costs 100 Wood and 200 Coin and takes 10 seconds. It applies to units carrying the listed classifications, not all units in the army. Check the roster tags of special troops before expecting the bonus, and secure the Navajo settlement post while researching.

Research condition

Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Navajo settlement.

When to research

Research when the army contains several affected units and expects repeated engagements. Five percent additional health can help troops survive concentrated fire, but does not improve damage or remove their counters. If only a small portion of the force qualifies, use the resources for direct production or a more relevant upgrade.

A low-cost durability boost for mixed forces

Navajo Weaving can benefit Infantry, Cavalry and Shock Troops together, making it more broadly applicable than a single-unit upgrade. Its effect is still limited by unit classification: artillery, workers and unrelated support units do not automatically qualify. Research before a fight so the troops begin at their improved maximum hit points, then use positioning and counters to keep them alive. The Trading Post or Tambo connection is part of the investment and should remain secure.
