Navajo
Navajo is an Age of Empires III minor civilization from North America. It appears on maps including Baja California, Colorado, Mexico, Painted Desert, Sonora. Players can establish an alliance at its settlement to access its local units and research.

Settlement & allied options
A Trading Post at the settlement unlocks the alliance. Inca players use a Tambo for the same purpose. The listed allied roster includes Navajo Rifleman. Its settlement offers these technologies: Navajo Weaving, Navajo Shepherds, Navajo Craftsmanship. The available roster and technologies can vary with the selected map and release.
When to ally
Scout the map for a Navajo settlement before spending resources on an alliance. Use it when the listed unit or technology fills a need in the army or economy, and protect the Trading Post that provides access.
Practical direction
Match the settlement research to what is already running: Navajo Weaving is a broad 5% durability improvement for classified military units, Navajo Shepherds needs an active herd or Experience site, and Navajo Craftsmanship is for Coin income from the named land, water and building sources. A technology that has no active source provides no immediate return. The rifleman’s 20-second training time makes replacement relatively quick, but it still requires a protected post or Native Embassy and a steady Food and Wood supply.
A quick ranged-infantry line
Navajo Riflemen have 200 hit points, 10% ranged resistance and 5.0 speed. They cost 60 Food and 40 Wood and train in only 20 seconds. Their 11-damage ranged attack reaches range 16 and gains bonuses against Light ranged cavalry, Ranged shock troops and Heavy infantry, but is reduced against Cavalry and Shock troops. Use the short queue to reinforce a screen, and keep the riflemen away from the unit classes that resist their fire.
Three technologies support different parts of the economy
Navajo Weaving gives Infantry, Cavalry and Shock Troops 5% more hit points for 100 Wood and 200 Coin. Navajo Shepherds costs 200 Wood and improves herded-animal gathering by 30% at Livestock Pens, Farms, Villages, Livestock Markets and Haciendas; it also raises Experience gathering by 30% at Sacred Fields and 35% at Shrines. Navajo Craftsmanship costs 175 Food and 125 Wood and increases gathering from listed Coin sources by 20%, including Villagers, Whales, Abun and Hacienda automatic income. These are separate military, livestock and Coin investments.
Alliance and production access
A Trading Post or Inca Tambo at the Navajo settlement unlocks its research and allied units; the Native Embassy is also a Rifleman training route. Secure the post before relying on the settlement technologies, then choose between troop durability, livestock Experience or Coin income according to the active economy.
