Role, availability & values

It has 1000 hit points. It moves at 5.0 speed. Attack profile: Hand attack deals 40 damage. Siege attack deals 14 damage. Special ability or role: Claims treasures; Builds Trading Posts; Auto scout. If reduced to zero hit points, it collapses rather than dying; after regenerating 100 hit points, a friendly unit or building nearby can revive it.

Matchup & timing

Use the hero to reveal the map, defeat manageable Treasure guardians and claim nearby Treasures; avoid trading the hero’s health for a reward guarded by a force it cannot beat. A Trading Post ability turns the hero into an early map-control tool; scout the route first and build where the site can be defended. Use auto-scouting to reveal a route while the main army handles another task, then check the exposed path before sending the hero into combat. If it collapses, keep a friendly unit or building nearby and protect the recovery period until it reaches 100 hit points.

Crescent Swing clears a cluster

Crescent Swing is a sweeping melee ability that deals 125 hand damage in an area of effect of 3, with double damage against Treasure Guardians. It has a 30-second cooldown. Use it when guards are close enough to be hit together; spending it on a lone weak target can leave the area attack unavailable for the next group.

Lightning Kilij targets one enemy

Lightning Kilij strikes one enemy in melee for 500 hand damage and has a 45-second cooldown. Save it for a dangerous individual target that the scenario force needs removed quickly, and move Oruc Reis into range with support rather than sending him ahead alone. He can claim Treasures, build Trading Posts and auto-scout; when idle, his health regenerates at 0.25% per second after 3.5 seconds. If he collapses, keep an ally nearby until he reaches 100 hit points to revive him.
