Porcelain Tower

Porcelain Tower is a Chinese Wonder selected during an age advance. It generates a chosen resource over time, so its reward is a continuing economic stream rather than a single delivery of units or resources.

Function & construction

The Tower’s output depends on its selected configuration and generates resources every second under the applicable rules. The player should consult the current data for exact rates rather than treating one configuration as fixed. As a Wonder, it also serves the Chinese age-up process.

Placement & timing

Choose Porcelain Tower when sustained income in a selected resource will support the coming phase. Match its output to the army, building or technology plan, then reconsider the economy if the main shortage changes. Protect the structure during construction so the age-up and income can take effect.

Choose the ongoing resource stream

The Chinese Wonder both advances the Age and generates the resource selected for its configuration. Because the output is continuous, choose the option that supports the economy’s current bottleneck and protect the structure so the stream continues. Rates and options depend on the current rules; check the selected configuration instead of assuming a fixed reward.

Select the resource that removes the current bottleneck

As a Wonder, Porcelain Tower advances the Chinese Age and can be configured to generate a chosen resource over time. Choose the option that complements the economy rather than duplicating an already abundant resource. Because it is a long-term stream, protect the Wonder after completion and consult the active version for the exact output rate.

Chinese Wonder with configurable income

The Porcelain Tower is one of the Chinese Wonders and can be selected to advance through the Ages. It also generates a resource every second according to the selected configuration. The Tower can be chosen during the Exploration, Commerce, Fortress or Industrial Age transitions, with advancement time and cost depending on the destination Age. It is limited to one, has 5,000 hit points and can be built by Asian Villagers and their counterparts. Up to eight builders can work on it. Unlike a shipment of crates, its value is a continuing flow whose payoff depends on the remaining game time and the number of workers not needed elsewhere. Select the resource that resolves the economy’s largest near-term bottleneck, then protect the Wonder while it is constructed.

Choose generation to support the next phase

The Porcelain Tower’s configuration makes the Wonder an economic decision as well as an Age-up choice. Food can support Villager and Banner production, Coin can fund upgrades or Coin-heavy units, and other available resources can answer a different plan; exact options and rates should be read from the selected Tower setting in the current release. Consider how long the match is likely to continue before preferring a trickle over an immediate military reward from another Wonder. Its 4-by-4 footprint and single-building limit also make placement important. Build in a defended part of the base and avoid exposing the only Wonder to a direct siege. If a different resource becomes the main constraint, use the available configuration controls where the game allows it rather than assuming the first choice is permanent.
