Scenario setting & objectives

The required goals are Earn before the Circle kills all five Chiefs. Optional goals include Bring the White Buffalo from Warwick's pen to the Lakota village; Destroy Warwick's Trading Post on the Trade Route; Claim the lost gold on Owl Island; Find and return the Lakota chief's daughter to the Lakota village to the south; Herd five wild horses to the Lakota tribe to the south; Build a Trading Post at the Lakota village; Destroy Warwick's Outpost on Barren Hill.

Mission approach

Protect all five Lakota Chiefs until the required progress is earned; losing them is the mission’s central failure risk. Assign part of the force to village defense while the Explorer searches for optional objectives such as the White Buffalo, lost gold or the chief’s daughter. Do not send every unit away from the Chiefs for optional rewards.

Protecting the Chiefs and optional tasks

Respect is the sixth scenario of Act II: Ice, set in 1757. The main objective is to earn before the Circle kills all five Chiefs, so the player must protect the allied leaders while also pursuing the score or objective conditions set by the mission. The scenario offers several optional tasks: bring the White Buffalo from Warwick’s pen to the Lakota village, destroy Warwick’s Trading Post on the Trade Route, claim lost gold on Owl Island, find and return the Lakota chief’s daughter, herd five wild horses to the southern Lakota tribe, build a Trading Post at the Lakota village and destroy Warwick’s Outpost on Barren Hill. These objectives offer different rewards and require movement across the map, so choose ones that can be completed without exposing the Chiefs. Keep a mobile force near threatened leaders and scout before sending a small detachment after an optional objective. The Trade Route and Lakota village can create economic or alliance value, while the lost gold and White Buffalo require exploration and safe escort. Do not treat every optional task as mandatory; prioritize the mission’s core conditions and take the objectives that fit the army’s position. Warwick’s forces can pressure the Chiefs while the player is away, so return to defend when the mission warning indicates danger. The campaign’s unique map, characters and objectives should not be conflated with standard Native civilization rules.

Prioritizing Chief survival

The Circle’s attack on the five Chiefs is the mission’s central pressure. Keep mobile units positioned to reach a threatened village and avoid sending the entire army after distant optional objectives. The White Buffalo, lost gold and rescued daughter can reward exploration, while the Trade Route and Outpost objectives affect Warwick’s position. Choose tasks that fit the army’s current location and return to defend when a Chief is in danger.

Route choices

Several optional tasks lead away from the Chiefs, so route them through a detachment rather than the entire army. A small group can escort the White Buffalo, return the chief’s daughter or herd horses while the main force watches for the Circle. Capture route posts or destroy Warwick’s Outpost when those objectives lie near the current path.

Optional objectives without overextending

Optional tasks can be completed in a flexible order. Escort or exploration objectives fit a small detachment, while destroying Warwick’s Trading Post or Outpost requires a force able to win a fight. Return to the Chiefs whenever the Circle threatens their survival.

Protecting villages while exploring

The Chiefs are vulnerable while the player travels across the map. Keep one mobile unit group near the threatened villages and send a smaller force to collect lost gold or return the White Buffalo. If Warwick’s forces approach, abandon an optional detour and defend first.

Optional task sequencing

The White Buffalo and horses require safe escort, while the lost gold and daughter require exploration. Warwick’s Trading Post and Barren Hill Outpost are military objectives. Choose one route at a time and keep a defender near the Chiefs so the Circle cannot complete its attack during a long detour.

Securing the optional rewards

Before sending a detachment across the map, check the position of the Chiefs and the Circle’s army. A mission event or warning may make the optional route unsafe. Complete the task only when the defending force remains strong enough to protect every Chief.

Earn time by protecting the five Lakota chiefs

John Black and Ká:nien must earn enough Experience before the Circle kills all five Lakota chiefs. The objective is a race between shipment progress and the survival of allied leaders. Optional tasks add ways to gather resources and improve relations: return Warwick’s White Buffalo, destroy his Trade Route Trading Post and Barren Hill Outpost, claim Owl Island’s gold, bring the chief’s daughter home, herd five wild horses to the southern Lakota village and build a Trading Post there. Choose nearby tasks that add progress without leaving the chiefs exposed. Keep the army near the Lakota settlements and scout Warwick’s approaches; losing the allied chiefs ends the opportunity to complete the main goal. Because the exact Experience threshold is not captured in the cached objective, use the in-game counter for the required amount and prioritize safe sources of Experience.
