Function & construction

The mission defines how the Site is captured, which units can interact with it, and whether ownership must be maintained. Its function and reward can therefore vary by scenario. A Saltpeter Site should be read together with the objective text rather than treated as a universal economic structure.

Placement & timing

Check the mission briefing before moving to the Site, then secure its approach and defend it for any required control period. Keep enough force nearby if the objective can be contested. Do not include it in a standard Indian build order or assume it appears in every Asian Dynasties scenario.

Follow the scenario’s capture rules

The Site is a mission object in Indian scenarios, not a standard multiplayer building. Read the objective to learn which units can capture it, what reward ownership provides, and whether the position must be held. Secure its approaches and keep a force nearby if ownership can change; ordinary economic or construction rules do not define its role.

An objective object in Company Confrontation

Saltpeter Sites matter in the final Act III: India scenario, Company Confrontation, where Trading Posts on saltpeter sites are among the Company positions that can be removed as an optional objective. The Site itself is not a resource mine to work in a standard match. Read the mission objective to learn how the Trading Post and site interact, and whether the optional task supports the route to the primary Command Post target.

Scenario profile and control

The recorded structure profile lists Exploration Age availability, 1,560 hit points, 9 Line of Sight and a 3×3 footprint; its function is to help complete the scenario once controlled. These values belong to the placed mission object and do not establish a standard Indian construction option. Secure the approach and follow the mission’s capture rules before committing troops or treating control as permanent.
