Shrine Wagon

Shrine Wagon is a Japanese construction wagon that places a Shrine for free. Shrines generate resources from nearby wildlife, so the destination connects map scouting directly to the Japanese economy.

Role, availability & values

The wagon has 250 hit points and moves at 4.0 speed. A Shrine is most useful where animals remain within its operating area; income depends on the wildlife and the building’s rules. The wagon must complete construction before the Shrine can begin producing.

Matchup & timing

Scout for wildlife before choosing a destination and protect the wagon on its route. Avoid placing a Shrine where no useful animals are nearby or where it can be raided easily. Reassess the area as wildlife is depleted and protect the building if its income supports production.

Savings, wildlife and opening placement

The Japanese Shrine Wagon builds a Shrine three times faster than a Villager and avoids the structure’s normal Wood investment. Depending on the Shrine’s escalating cost, the wagon can save 250, 500 or 625 Wood. A Shrine generates resources from nearby wildlife and supports population, so its value depends on animal density and safe placement rather than simple proximity to the Town Center. A location near a large herd can create a strong early economy, while a Shrine placed where animals are scarce or workers cannot defend it returns less. The wagon has 250 hit points and 4.0 speed, and is vulnerable before the building is complete. Use scouting to find a site with multiple animal groups, then protect it and avoid exposing the structure to early raids. Home City cards can send additional Shrine Wagons, but each placement should be chosen for the wildlife it can reach.

Home City supply and wildlife value

The Shrine Wagon is a Japanese Home City delivery and builds the Shrine at three times the ordinary rate. Cards can send two or five wagons, allowing the Japanese to build out the resource network without spending the usual Wood for each Shrine. The network is strongest when wildlife remains within range; as animals disappear, the chosen locations and protective coverage determine whether those Shrines continue contributing.

Fast Shrine construction and site selection

A Shrine Wagon constructs a Shrine three times as fast as the ordinary build process. That turns a mobile builder shipment into an early Japanese economic timing: it can put a Shrine near a useful herd sooner and save Villager time that would otherwise be spent on the build. The wagon itself is still vulnerable while travelling, so scout the destination first and avoid sending it through a route the opponent can raid. The Shrine’s income depends on wildlife within its operating area, which means a fast construction is valuable only if the chosen site can support it. Compare the intended resource flow with the safer alternative of placing the building closer to the base, and protect the finished Shrine if it becomes an important part of the economy.
