When to research
Research before using a Hero to scout, fight Treasure guardians or support the army in exposed territory. Extra hit points can provide more time to withdraw or complete an encounter, but the Hero still needs support and can be overwhelmed. The low research cost makes the upgrade accessible, though securing the settlement and maintaining Hero access remain part of the investment.
Protect the Hero that benefits
The 50% increase improves Hero durability but does not change the unit’s role or eliminate its counters. Use the added health to survive exploration and disengage from threats, not as permission to fight a whole army alone. The holy-site access can be contested, so secure the Trading Post or Tambo before relying on the technology. If the match uses few eligible Heroes, spend the resources on units or upgrades that affect the main force instead.
