Sudanese Red Sea Trade

Sudanese Red Sea Trade is an Exploration Age technology in The African Royals that can be researched twice. Sudanese settlement access is through a Trading Post or Tambo; Ethiopians can research it at a Mountain Monastery with the Sudanese Alliance. The first research delivers two Red Sea Wagons, while the second scales its delivery with elapsed game time.

Effect & research conditions

The current listed research time is 30 seconds. The first research costs 250 Food, 150 Coin and 350 Influence for African civilizations and delivers two Red Sea Wagons. The second costs 1,125 Food, 675 Coin and 1,575 Influence for African civilizations; it delivers one wagon plus one for every five minutes of game length, up to 30 minutes, for a maximum of seven. The article records an earlier 10-second research time and older costs separately; use the current match interface when playing a different version or patch.

Research condition

The African Royals; Exploration Age; Trading Post or Tambo on a Sudanese kingdom, or Ethiopian Mountain Monastery with Sudanese Alliance; researchable twice. First: 30 seconds, 250 Food, 150 Coin, 350 Influence for Africans, two Red Sea Wagons. Second: 30 seconds, 1,125 Food, 675 Coin, 1,575 Influence for Africans, one wagon plus one per five minutes of match time up to 30 minutes (maximum seven).

When to research

The first delivery is a direct early reinforcement; the second becomes more valuable as the match lasts and can supply as many as seven wagons at the 30-minute threshold. Decide whether the Influence and resource commitment is justified by the expected timing. Since the second purchase is separate, do not mistake the time-scaled reward for the first research or assume it grants the maximum before the match reaches the required duration.

The two research buttons have different rewards

The first purchase always sends two Red Sea Wagons. The second sends one base wagon and adds one for every five minutes of match length, reaching seven at 30 minutes. The time-based calculation belongs to the second research only; it does not change the initial two-wagon reward.

Current values and older patch values

The current project data lists a 30-second research time and the current resource costs for both purchases. The source page also records historical values, including an earlier 10-second duration and lower second-research costs. Keep those patch differences separate when describing older versions rather than combining an old cost with the current reward.
