Scenario setting & objectives

The required goals are Build a Town Center; Go to the Home City and send a Shipment; Find and ally with at least two local Natives; Find and destroy the Ottoman Command Post and Town Center. Optional goals include Destroy the Ottoman Fishing Dock.

Mission approach

Complete the first-base sequence before pursuing the Ottoman Command Post: build a Town Center, send a Home City Shipment and ally with at least two local Native groups. Keep the workers protected during setup, then use the allies and shipment to support the assault on the Command Post and Town Center. The Fishing Dock is optional.

Act I objectives and native allies

The Ottoman Fort is scenario four of Act I: Blood, set on the Yucatán Peninsula in 1566. Morgan and the Knights of St. John pursue Sahin and encounter an Ottoman command post. The objectives require building a Town Center, sending a Home City Shipment, allying with at least two local Native settlements, and finding and destroying both the Ottoman Command Post and Town Center. The Ottoman Fishing Dock is optional. Complete the Town Center and shipment tasks early enough to establish production and reinforcements, then secure two alliances before the assault. The local settlements can strengthen the force, but the final targets remain the Command Post and Town Center. Keep workers and the new base safe while the army scouts through the jungle; splitting all troops to chase the optional Dock can leave the required targets under-defended. This mission follows Pirates! and leads to Temples of the Aztec.

Building the first base and completing the assault

This mission is the first in Act I where the player can send a Home City Shipment, so establish the Town Center and ship reinforcements or resources before committing the whole army. Find two Native settlements and ally with them; those alliances can supply support for the final attack. The required target chain is the Ottoman Command Post and Town Center, while the Fishing Dock is optional. Morgan’s search for Sahin on Yucatán ties the scenario’s jungle map to the next campaign story beats. Keep the Town Center safe while workers build and keep enough mobile troops together to break the fortified Ottoman position.

Native support and shipment timing

Use the first Home City Shipment to reinforce the expedition or support the base, then establish the two required Native alliances before moving every unit toward the Ottoman command post. The optional Fishing Dock can be destroyed once the main force can do so without leaving the Town Center exposed. This scenario teaches shipment use and alliance access as part of the campaign’s first large Yucatán assault.

Treat the Fishing Dock as a separate objective

The Ottoman Fishing Dock is optional; destroying it is not part of the required Town Center and Command Post assault. If the force can reach it without abandoning workers or splitting the army, removing the Dock can limit the opponent’s water access. Otherwise, keep the main force on the land objectives and leave the optional target until the settlement is secure.
