Scenario setting & objectives

The tutorial asks you to reach eight Settlers while exploring, build a Manor for population, advance through the Commerce, Fortress and Industrial Ages, then destroy the enemy colony. Gather Food by hunting or at Mills, collect Wood for Manors, and keep worker production going. Build an Artillery Foundry and use Mortars for the final assault, with other units protecting the guns. Follow the resource thresholds shown in the scenario. Earn experience during exploration and combat, then send a Food shipment when it supports worker production or the next Age advance. Keep enough resources for training and construction instead of exhausting the stock on optional actions.

Mission approach

Secure the named target before committing the whole force elsewhere; keep a mobile reserve near the threatened approach. Complete required construction early enough to establish the base or route, then defend the workers and new position. Scout the target and its approach, then preserve enough of the starting army to finish the required assault. Keep Villager production and resource gathering aligned with the stated threshold; assign workers to the nearest safe source and avoid idle time. Reserve the required Age-up resources while keeping enough workers and defenses to meet the mission’s other goals.

Tutorial objectives teach the British economy

This second Tutorial scenario has the player command the British and progressively train Settlers, build Manors, advance through Commerce, Fortress, and Industrial Ages, then destroy the enemy colony. The lesson connects resource gathering to the next objective: hunt for Food, build Houses for population, use a politician to age up, and establish an Artillery Foundry for Mortars. Protect Mortars with other units during the final attack. Follow the on-screen resource requirements for each advance.

Step-by-step economy and final assault

Use the Explorer to uncover the nearby map while the starting Settlers establish Food income. Train two additional Settlers at the Town Center to reach the tutorial’s eight-Settler goal; keep worker production active when resources allow. Hunt animals for Food and use a Home City Food delivery if available, while reserving Wood to build a Manor and raise the population limit. Before each Age advance, open the Town Center’s age-up choice, select the required politician and gather the resource amounts shown by the scenario. Keep Settlers working during the research and add Manors before population becomes a production bottleneck. As mines run low, move workers to a fresh deposit or use an Estate when the tutorial makes that option available. For the final objective, build an Artillery Foundry and train Mortars. Keep Musketeers or other available troops between the guns and enemy units, then advance together so the Mortars can destroy the enemy colony without being caught alone.
