Role, availability & values
Yermak has 1,000 hit points, 40% ranged resistance, 7.0 speed and 24 line of sight. His 32-damage hand attack and 40-damage ranged attack have a 2.5× bonus against Heavy Cavalry and 2.0× against Artillery, while dealing half damage to Villagers; the ranged attack reaches 12. His siege attack deals 14 at range 6. At zero hit points he collapses instead of dying. After recovering 100 hit points, a nearby friendly unit or building can revive him. He also regenerates over time.
Matchup & timing
Use Yermak to collect Treasures and establish Trading Posts while the main force advances, then focus attacks on Heavy Cavalry or exposed Artillery. His ranged shot lets him contribute without charging every fight. If he collapses, clear nearby enemies and keep a friendly unit or building close so he can be revived; leaving him alone wastes the scenario recovery mechanic. These values and revival rules describe this hero, not the standard Russian Explorer.
A hero for sustained mission play
Yermak combines exploration, construction and combat, helping secure the map between major battles. His speed supports scouting and movement between objectives, while his attack modes pressure priority targets at different distances. The bonuses are narrow: Heavy Cavalry and Artillery are intended targets, and Villagers take reduced damage. Keep him near the scenario army when enemy pressure is high, since recovery needs time and a nearby friendly presence.
