Effect & research conditions
Research costs 65 Wood and 65 Coin and takes 15 seconds. The +10% applies only to Villagers gathering from Berry Bushes and Cherry Orchards. It does not improve gathering from Rice Paddies, hunts or other Food sources, and it does not replenish exhausted bushes or orchards.
Research condition
Available to Japanese from the Commerce Age. Research it at Asian Market. It requires Hanami Parties.
When to research
Research while nearby Berry Bushes or Cherry Orchards still have Food and Villagers can gather safely. The technology is a quick, low-cost follow-up, but finite sources may run out before the faster rate repays the investment. If Japan has already shifted to Rice Paddies or other sources, choose a different economic upgrade.
A finite-source gathering bonus
Villagers gather 10% faster from Berry Bushes and Cherry Orchards. This follows Hanami Parties, which provides the earlier five-percent increase. Neither technology changes the amount of Food remaining in each source, so scouting and source depletion still matter.
Time it before the sources run out
Research at the Asian Market in the Commerce Age for 65 Wood and 65 Coin; it takes 15 seconds. Buy it while workers can use the nearby bushes or orchards and before the economy has moved entirely to Rice Paddies or other sources. The faster rate cannot repay the cost after the resource is exhausted.
