Zealand Bosniaks

Zealand Bosniaks is a Fortress Age technology for the Danes in The Baltic Powers, researched at the Round Church. It delivers six Zealand Bosniaks and unlocks Tavern production of Bosniaks, trading away some durability and ranged resistance for a cheaper, faster-to-train version.

Effect & research conditions

Research costs 1,000 Coin and takes 15 seconds. The first six units arrive as part of the technology; afterward, Bosniaks can be trained at the Tavern for 105 Food and 245 Coin, with training time reduced by 20%. Compared with the standard profile, Zealand Bosniaks have 25% fewer hit points and 5 percentage points less ranged resistance. The technology therefore grants immediate numbers and a repeatable production option, but those later units are more vulnerable.

Research condition

Available to Danes from the Fortress Age. Research it at Round Church.

When to research

Research when the army can use six immediate reinforcements and you expect to keep producing Bosniaks afterward. Their lower cost and shorter queue can sustain pressure, but avoid exposing them to heavy ranged fire without a screen. If a durable front line is the priority, compare this option with other Danish production before paying 1,000 Coin.

Unlock plus first delivery

Zealand Bosniaks combines a six-unit arrival with an unlock for future Tavern production. The six units can start a push sooner than an empty Tavern queue, while the unlock supports later replacement. Keep population free for the initial force, then budget 105 Food and 245 Coin per Bosniak when planning continued production.

The cheaper version is also less durable

The technology makes Bosniaks cheaper and 20% faster to train, but Zealand Bosniaks lose 25% hit points and five percentage points of ranged resistance. They remain useful as a trained unit, but the reduced durability makes unsupported frontal engagements riskier. Use numbers and timing to create favorable fights rather than assuming the discount preserves the original unit’s endurance.
