Function

Danes can build up to three from the Exploration Age. Each costs 150 Wood and 100 Coin, has 2,000 hit points, and can garrison up to 20 eligible units. Its ranged attack reaches 14 and deals extra damage to Mercenaries, Outlaws and Infantry; it can also fire at ships from farther away. It receives Home City shipments and provides 0.5 experience per second.

Placement & timing

Use its garrison and attack to secure workers or an approach, then keep mobile troops nearby to answer siege. Healing and Spy options make a protected network useful for recovery and scouting; the build limit means each site should cover a distinct area.

Danish defensive and support functions

The Danish Round Church costs 150 Wood and 100 Coin, takes 50 seconds to build and has a limit of three. Its 2,000 hit points, 32 line of sight and capacity for twenty garrisoned units let it shelter Villagers while defending a position. The ranged attack deals 20 damage at range 14 and is especially effective against Mercenaries and Outlaws, with multipliers of 2.0 against either and 1.25 against Infantry. Its separate attack can damage ships at range 40. The building receives Home City shipments, trains support units such as Priests, Surgeons and Spies, researches town and unique technologies, and trickles 0.5 Experience per second. With Tycho’s Observatory it can use Triangulation to reveal other players’ shipment points and ships; additional Round Churches or Outposts reduce the ability’s cooldown. Use it to anchor a worker area or strategic approach, but keep mobile troops ready to respond to siege.

Siege limits and healing support

The Church’s ranged attack is intentionally weak against Siege Troops, and its 0.25 multiplier against Villagers means it is not a substitute for a field army. Its main benefits are shelter, shipment access, Experience income and production of healers or Spies. Keep the building behind a defensive line so it can support troops and recover injured units without being the first target for artillery.

Danish frontier building and its attack profile

The Danish Round Church costs 150 Wood and 100 Coin, takes 50 seconds to build and is limited to three. It has 2,000 hit points, line of sight 32 and can garrison 20 Villagers, Homestead Wagons, healing units or the Regent. Its ranged attack deals 20 damage at range 14 every three seconds, with 2× damage against Mercenaries and Outlaws and 1.25× against Infantry; it is much less effective against Villagers and Siege Troops. The structure also trains Spies and healing units, researches town and unique technologies, receives Home City shipments and automatically gathers 0.5 XP per second. These combined functions make its placement important: a forward Church can support a push and provide vision, but it is also a valuable target. Build it where the garrison, shipment access and support roster are useful without leaving it isolated.
