Role, availability & values

The wagon has 250 hit points and moves at 4.0 speed. Its exact construction list depends on the civilization receiving it; a Manor House, Longhouse or another special housing structure may serve a different role from a standard House. The wagon must reach a legal site and complete each building.

Matchup & timing

Use it to prevent population blocks or establish an agricultural economy without paying the ordinary structure cost. Decide which eligible building is needed before sending the wagon, then choose a protected location. Keep the housing and food area inside the army’s coverage if opponents can raid it.

Housing and agricultural construction

Homestead Wagon is a free-builder shipment whose available structures depend on the civilization receiving it. It can place Houses or their equivalents and agricultural buildings, including civilization-specific forms such as a British Manor House or Haudenosaunee Longhouse when eligible. The 250-hit-point, 4.0-speed wagon is consumed by the construction, so select the structure before moving it forward. Use a housing option to avoid a population block or an agricultural building to shift Food production away from dangerous Hunts. Free construction saves resources, but it does not remove construction time or the need to protect the finished economy. Keep the wagon inside the army’s coverage and place the building where workers can use it safely.

United States card condition

For the United States, Land Grab reduces the cost of Homestead Wagons by 40%, but the wagons cannot be trained at the State Capitol. The card therefore discounts the access route that provides them; it does not create an ordinary production queue. Decide whether the free building shipment is needed for housing or agriculture before selecting the card.

Building selection and safe arrival

The wagon can be used for housing or agriculture, but its eligible building list follows the civilization that receives it. For example, the same shipment may create a Manor House, Longhouse or another equivalent structure with different secondary benefits. Check the destination’s population and Food needs before sending it; after deployment the wagon is consumed and cannot be redirected.

Current access and card change

The Homestead Wagon’s House-building ability was added in update 23511; older guides may list only agricultural structures. The United States Land Grab card reduces its cost by 40%, but there is no State Capitol queue for training additional wagons. Treat it as a delivered construction option and decide its building before it reaches the site.

Free housing and agricultural sites

A Homestead Wagon has 250 hit points, speed 4.0, line of sight 18 and 20% siege resistance. It places Houses or a civilization’s equivalent and agricultural buildings for free. Its accelerated construction applies to most structures, but the recorded exceptions include Farms, Rice Paddies, Sacred Fields, Huts, Granaries, Livestock Markets and Haciendas; check the recipient’s version-specific building list before choosing a site. The wagon is therefore most valuable when the player needs housing and can also use an eligible food-producing structure, rather than as a universal replacement for every economic building. Free placement still costs travel time and exposes the wagon, so bring it behind the army or send it to a safe base location. United States card access and other civilization routes are not interchangeable; verify the source of the wagon before planning around it.
