CAMPAIGN · THE AGE OF KINGS
An Arabian Knight
A fixed-army mission with no unit production. Use the starting force carefully, then reach the Mosque to turn the Egyptians into allies before attacking the remaining Frankish base.

Overview
A fixed-army mission with no unit production. Use the starting force carefully, then reach the Mosque to turn the Egyptians into allies before attacking the remaining Frankish base.
Player approach
An Arabian Knight gives you a fixed army and no unit production. Organize control groups around their counters, defeat the West Frankish force, and advance toward Cairo without trying to clear every structure.
Step-by-step plan
Separate Camels or Mamelukes, Scorpions, and Crossbowmen into groups before moving south. Use the mounted anti-cavalry units against Knights, Scorpions against dense Men-at-Arms, and Light Cavalry to pressure Crossbowmen. Focus on enemies that directly threaten the march and keep the groups close enough to support one another as you approach the bridge to Cairo.
Risks and adjustments
Buildings cannot be controlled and units cannot be trained, so every casualty reduces your options. Do not spend the army clearing irrelevant structures when the objective advances by reaching the bridge or applying enough pressure.
